Wood Turning
Some new examples of the wooden bowls I turned in the fall of 2013.
This bowl is Mammoth Kauri, a piece of wood that is somewhere between 25,000 and 50,000 years old. This particular tree was felled by a tsunami at some point in the stone age, and has been preserved in a bog ever since. You can read more about this amazing wood here.
